Terms of rental (summary)

• You rent the scooter by the day. Rent is taken from your FERO wallet each morning for that day.
• The security deposit is refundable. When you return the scooter at the hub, it goes back into your wallet after any damage charges, and you can withdraw it to UPI.
• The joining fee is not refundable once the scooter is handed over.
• All payments are made by UPI through the app. FERO staff never collect cash.
• A ride ends only when the scooter is checked in at the FERO hub.

Privacy and your consents (summary)

By ticking “I agree” at sign-up you give these consents. You can withdraw the ones marked “can turn off” at any time.

• Identity (KYC). We collect your mobile number, name, address, Aadhaar card photos, a live selfie, your driving licence if you add it, and an optional second mobile number, to verify you and rent you a scooter.
• Aadhaar. Your Aadhaar photos are read automatically by an AI service to check they are clear and to fill in your details. We keep only a secure fingerprint and the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar number — never the full number.
• Live selfie. Taken with your phone's camera at sign-up to confirm it is you; compared with your Aadhaar photo by our KYC team.
• Emergency contacts. The 2–4 people you name are called only if we can't reach you. They are deleted after your ride ends and nothing is owed.
• Location (can turn off). While the app is open we record your location, to find the scooter if it is lost or stolen and for your safety. Turn it off any time in Privacy & account. It is deleted when your ride ends.
• Your data. You can download your data or ask us to delete it from Privacy & account in the app.
